Covid-19: Important Information
It has been a very eventful time as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve and more deeply impact our day-to-day lives with every new development. Many of us are finding ourselves in a position of juggling all of life’s everyday challenges but now made all the more difficult with additional fears around the Covid-19 spread and the feeling that we all need to be doing our part to help “flatten the curve”. At Digby Leigh & Co. we are taking steps to meet these ever changing conditions and to protect the health and safety of our team, clients, and the community as a whole.
We recognize the need to carry on business as usual where at all possible and have put contingencies in place to ensure we can continue to deliver the quality of work you expect and require from us. We are fortunate that we have been cloud based for many years so that platform, combined with our ability to leverage additional technology at our disposal, enables us to continue on working remotely and without disruption.
In addition, we are following the Public Health Canada guidelines to socially distance ourselves as well as reduce all non-essential in-person interactions at our office. To this end we are temporarily invoking a policy that all meetings must take place via phone or video conference. Our office remains open but with the front door locked and with limited staffing as the majority of our team are working remotely. If you need to physically visit the office we ask that you call in advance, if possible, so we can be ready to greet you. We do have a doorbell located at our front door that can be rung to alert in-office staff that you’ve arrived. Please note that on certain days where relief coverage is limited we may not be able to answer the door over the lunch hour between 12:30pm-1:30pm.
We want to stress that we remain available by email, phone and video call so please continue to reach out via these channels for any assistance you may require. We are committed to ensuring your needs are met and we will continue to work with you to accommodate any unique circumstances.
As a further step to help curb the possibility of spreading this virus we encourage clients to send information by email or fax where possible in an effort to limit touch points. If you do not have the ability to send information digitally please contact us to make alternate arrangements.
We will continue to update our website with any relevant changes in procedure as we continue to navigate our way through these unprecedented times.
Our thoughts are with everyone in our community at this time. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if we can be of assistance in any way.
Stay well,
